Post-assessment Support
At ClinPsych Consulting we offer post-assessment support to anyone who seeks it. We do not discriminate and can provide post-diagnosis or no-diagnosis tailored support to individuals and families whether their initial assessment was with our service or not. Limited resources within the NHS mean there is often no further support available after the assessment. This is frequently the case where a diagnosis has been given and particularly so in the absence of a diagnosis being made. Our experience in these environments has shown us just how great the need for this kind of support is.

Valuing commitment
At ClinPsych Consulting we are committed to supporting you every step of the way. As pillar of our practice, we value our obligation to our clients as highly as compassion, respect, authenticity, and all the values we practice every day in our work.
Following an assessment with us, our support doesn’t end – it’s just the beginning of a collaborative journey where our commitment to you doesn’t end until you are ready for the next steps without us. For those assessed elsewhere, our engagement with you is just the start of what we hope will be an enduring relationship that proves to be transformative for you, your child, and your family.
Post-assessment support
We offer personalised post-assessment support which is designed to empower individuals and their families. This may include detailed feedback sessions to discuss the diagnosis or differential diagnosis, guidance on accessing relevant resources and services, and assistance in creating a tailored intervention plan.
Our commitment extends beyond the assessment, as we work closely with clients to address questions, concerns, and facilitate connections with support networks. Our goal is to provide ongoing support and equip individuals and families with the tools they need for fulfilling and enriched life.
No-diagnosis support
We recognise that many people who have gone through assessments and have not received a diagnosis – be it for themselves or their children – subsequently struggle to find a service that can support them, and yet are still having to deal with all the difficulties that brought them for an assessment in the first place. We know that just because you haven’t received a diagnosis doesn’t mean that these issues have suddenly gone away. You will likely be dealing with all or many of the same challenges as those who have been given an autism diagnosis.
For clients who have not received a diagnosis – whether with our own service or another – we offer bespoke interventions designed to address the particular challenges you and your family may be facing, whilst providing you with the support you need to move forwards as family.
Post-diagnosis support
Our post-diagnosis intervention program is tailored to address specific challenges such as:
Anxiety
Restrictive and repetitive behaviours
Demand avoidant behaviours
School refusals
Difficulty sleeping
Restricted eating
Our team of skilled therapists utilises evidence-based strategies to create individualised intervention plans. Through a combination of cognitive-behavioural techniques, social skills training, and sensory integration approaches, we aim to empower children to manage anxiety, navigate social interactions, and establish healthy routines.
Our holistic approach recognises the unique needs of each child, fostering a supportive environment that encourages positive change. We work collaboratively with families and educators to implement strategies consistently across various settings, ensuring comprehensive and integrated support system. Together, we strive to enhance the child’s wellbeing, promote adaptive behaviours, and pave the way for a more fulfilling and inclusive future.
